The birds are chirping, the sun is shining…spring has officially (and finally) sprung! Which also means…it’s time the Blue Jays!

The boys in blue are back this year and I for one couldn’t be more excited. No, seriously – I tried and I physically could not be more excited. My body just couldn’t do it. THAT’S how excited I already am! LOL

Last season was one of my all-time favourite Blue Jays seasons. Not only did the Blue Jays have a decent run, but I got to experience a handful of games in person at the ballpark, and even more in the comfort of my own home.

This season may not have started off on the best foot for our boys, but I had the opportunity to go to 3 games within 4 days…which was awesome!

first game, front row…this’ll do, I suppose #LetsRise

Faith; you know you’re gonna live through the rain…Lord you got to keep the faith. I believe #OurMoment is coming. @bluejays

Guys, let’s remember – there are over 160 games in any baseball season…we have a long road ahead of this year, and I continue to have faith in our Blue Jays.

While heading to the Rogers Centre to catch a game is by far my favourite way to watch the Blue Jays – staying home and watching the games can be just as fun! I mean, you can lounge in your PJs, brewski in hand – and stuff your face with deliciousness without the judgemental eyes of 30,000 other Blue Jays fans.

…just saying.

Bonus: For the first time ever – all Blue Jays home games were broadcast in 4K last year…and yup, you guessed it – they are this year as well!

All 162 Blue Jays games available on Sportsnet, Sportsnet NOW and Sportsnet Radio Network
Sportsnet to produce all 81 home games in 4K

While #Lifein4K is pretty sweet…nothing beats coming to the ball park for a game. #OurMoment

Prior to the season starting last year, thanks to my friends at Rogers, I was set-up with my Samsung 4K TV and Rogers’ NextBox 4K cable box so that I could take FULL advantage of the awesomeness that is Blue Jays baseball in 4K from the comfort of my own home.

TV like never before with resolution that’s 4 times better than HD alone; with sharper images and realistic picture quality, everything you watch comes to life

I have to be honest, one of my favourite pastimes is definitely heading to the ball park to catch a Blue Jays game. There’s not much better than devouring some hot dogs and popcorn (and beer) and watching the boys in blue do their thing. That being said – heading to every home game isn’t really feasible for many (I know it’s def not for me!) – so what’s a fan to do?

That’s a wrap! The #HondaHomeOpener weekend ended on a high note with a win for the Jays. #OurMoment #Lifein4K

I know, I know, I know!

Set your home situation up so that it’s the next best thing to being in the park itself! I’ll break it down, step by step, for you!

Step One:

Stock up on all of the delicious food. You know – just your typical game-day food. Chicken wings, pizza, popcorn, soda, adult bevvies…or, what is also known as JennJenn’s regular diet.

Step Two:

If you can – upgrade your TV set to a 4K TV. I highly recommend the 55″ Samsung  SUHD 4K Smart TV. It’s what I have, and it’s spectacular. You can see the blades of grass and beads of sweat on the players. LOL Even the things that aren’t broadcast in 4K come through ridiculously clear.

Step Three:

Contact Rogers to ensure you have your Rogers’ NextBox 4K cable box set up…and that you have access to the Sportsnet suite of channels. With this, you’ll be able to catch all the homes games in all their 4K glory.

Step Four:

Document your game watching experience. I mean – if you’re watching the Blue Jays game, whether at home or the ballpark, and you don’t share a selfie or two – did it really happen!?!?

Step Five:

Watch the Blue Jays conquer the East and fingers crossed – the whole shebang!

*drum roll please*

Now…because I love you (and the Blue Jays) so gosh darn much – I want to help you out. While I can’t help you out with a 4K TV (sorry!) – I can help you document your game watching (and everything else) with a brand spanking new phone!
