Before 2016 came to an end I was running on all cylinders. I triple booking myself at events, putting in extra hours at work, spending a lot of time with friends and family…and then on the off chance that I had a night to myself, I was far too tired (read: lazy) to do any grocery shopping. So naturally, when the lovely people at HelloFresh Canada reached out to see if I would be interested in sampling a couple of their recipe boxes, I jumped at the chance.
Pick a HelloFresh Canada Plan That Fits Your Lifestyle
HelloFresh Canada delivers fresh ingredients, packaged out proportionally for the recipes you select. Seeing as I live alone, I opted for the 1-2 serving sized meals…obvs.
Just my luck though, the HelloFresh Canada delivery came the day I left my office early because I had the flu. LOL Luckily all of the ingredients were delivered in an insulated box with ice packs, so by the time I was able to get back to the office after visiting my doctor – they were still perfectly stored. I schlept the box home, put what needed to be put in the fridge…then crawled into bed for a few days to sleep off the flu. Once that nasty bug was out of my system and I had the energy to get out of bed (and got my appetite back, lol) – I was eager to get into the kitchen and try out the recipes!
Now, I’m no whiz in the kitchen. I mean, like – I know HOW to cook…I just don’t do it very often. I live alone, and am so often out that I never had a need to cook at home so much. That’s changing though. I’m staying in more and more, and am now (more often than not) cooking for 2 people. (New year, new me?)

Having all of the ingredients sent out by HelloFresh Canada already portioned out made my adventures in the kitchen a whole lot easier. And, let’s be honest – the easy-to-read, step-by-step instructions on each of the individual HelloFresh Canada recipe cards helped too. LOL
